A corner lot establishment adjacent to a few hotels you'll find this nice sports bar dressed with a buoy atop it. This should serve as a marker that you've arrived at Sams boat. Your next stop will be a relaxing laid back day as you cruise through beverage, baskets of food, while making friends and memories. No hurry here, take your time.

It really feels like a gulf coast restaurant. I'm always expecting to see the shoreline out the window.

I would stay in the adjacent hotel and walk over each night (beats the traffic). Yes, every night almost 5 in a row. It never got old with such great staff.

I usually sit at the bar and enjoy the best beer Texas has to offer. Cold, local, and just damn good beer! My food was always something different. I've had just about the whole menu. It's all good EXCEPT the Seafood Gumbo. It's truly an abomination. There wasn't a single piece of okra in it.

All the food (except the gumbo) is great with the tacos being my go to. However let's talk about the people that work here...

They are what makes this boat! Every night I'd see roughly the same staff minus a schedule difference. They work hard and yet take time to engage. I met almost all of them at one point and would play a game to recall each name. I stopped at 8 one night.

They do care and the poor service reviews never consider the lives it can hurt. I'm here for the food and experience but it isn't possible without them. Thanks to the crew on this boat. You are all captains!

They cant get a to go order correct to save their life. First time ordered fried shrimp tacos which I think are amazing here, with extra spicy cilantro sauce on the side. Got all the way back to work up Parmer and the 45 and there not only was no extra sauce but they also failed to put the sauce on the tacos. My friend ended up driving all the way back and they made new tacos for us which was good service.
Today ordered fried shrimp tacos and got blackened fish tacos instead. I blame my friend for this one because given the time before he should have checked the order but alas did not until he got to work and I noticed it was the completely wrong tacos. They were way fishy tasting and gross. I'm not a fan. I did get extra sauce on the side but for what?
I guess I'll have to come eat here If I want my fried shrimp tacos because two wrong orders and I'm out.
Ps, the food is good... this is just for the take out.

The menu sounds good, but in reality it is way overpriced for the quality. The service wasn't bad, just a little awkward and seemed strictly business without the usual server etiquette.

For ~$20 per entree, my boyfriend got bland salmon and I got very overcooked redfish. The lemon butter sauce on each was good, but even a good sauce couldn't save it.

I had to use a knife to cut my fish because it was so tough that a fork just wouldnt do. He usually loves all salmon, but said his dish was regrettably pretty flavorless. The presentation was good, but the taste just lacked. We each had seafood gumbo, and while the flavor was pretty good, it was served luke-warm. It would have been so much better hot. The cornbread muffin it came with was moist and good though.

Honestly, we wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, we left not wanting to return. It wasnt bad, just mediocre.

Good food HORRIBLE SERVICE. We stopped here for a late lunch and from the moment we sat down our server acted as if we were a bother. We ordered a appetizer and beers, the appetizer didn't show up till after our meals were served. We could never get a refill on our beers, in the end we just asked for our check and left.

I would give more stars for the food however the service doesn't deserve it.
